About Pack 274

2020-2021 Registration Information

Cub Scouts Pack 274 is a year-round program in Avon, Connecticut which offers unplugged and unparalleled fun and adventure. The program is uniquely designed to meet the needs of boys and girls in grades K through 5.

Our Pack is chartered by the West Avon Congregational Church which supports the mission of our Pack in many ways. There is no religious affiliation requirement to join the Pack.

Pack membership is primarily families that attend Roaring Brook School or live in that district, although there is no residency requirement. (If you attend Pine Grove School, you might be interested in Pack 122.)

We Need You!

The Pack is entirely run by parents who volunteer their time to provide our Scouts with the best program possible. Everyone has a special talent that can be used to support the Scouts as they advance through the ranks and learn to follow the Scout Law.

Please join us at the next Parent & Leader meeting where we plan out the future activities and discuss the general business of running the pack. There are a number of roles you can fill with varying time commitments. Everyone has a special skill or talent which would enrich our Scouts’ experience.

Family Scouting

Pack 274 is excited to be accepting girls into our Pack for the first time this year! While sisters have been attending Cub Scout events with their brothers for some time, girls can now be registered with the BSA and earn the same advancements and progress through the ranks.

Pack 274 is a co-ed pack, where boys and girls will attend Pack activities together. Dens will be split into boy and girl dens.
